Yahowa - The Operetta - by Djin

The word opera means “work or pains”. An operetta is a “short light musical drama”. I think this was one of father’s “hidden meaning” titles describing exactly what the family was going through at this time, “A short musical drama of work and pain to bring forth the light “. As usual though, our family love and laughter shines through in “The Operetta”. It was a metaphor for the expression of the experience of our collective life at that time and in a few months he would be “composing” his personal final “opus” on Earth, when his soul would “take flight” from the operetta of his earthly habitation.

“The Operetta” is, of course, spontaneous, without previously crafting music or lyrics as per our musical style and the tradition.of the Yahowhan music. It was recorded at the warehouse in Marin County, San Francisco Bay, spring of 1974, shortly after Father returned from his unplanned and spontaneous pilgrimage to the East, seeking a welcoming land we could call home, which culminated in his Easter Sunday initiation in The Great Pyramid of Egypt. The family, children and all, was still homeless, driven by local laws out of the entire state of Hawaii, no crime or arrests, just too much light and no place to legally put it while united. But we were finally off the streets and out of the parks, of Marin County and into four or five small flats we rented in Corte Madera. We couldn’t meet there in the morning and do our chanting and music because of the other tenants in the building. So we rented this warehouse, not far away, to have our traditional Aquarian style morning gathering using our mobile recording studio brother Octavius had skillfully assembled.

That Easter morning, in the warehouse, without knowing Father was to be in the pyramid, I started the music off by singing “I AM THE POWER OF TAHUTI, TAHUTI IS THE POWER OF ME”, something Yahowha would chant to us, and in part it is included in the “Unreleased Material”, a cd that Sunlight Sky and brother Damian resurrected for the Yahowha Collection 13 cd box set. Tahuti is the ancient name of THOTH, the Ibis headed scribe god of Egypt, who erected the Great Pyramid before the flood as an altar to YHVH, and to prophesy of the future culture in the then distant Aquarian Age on Earth. In listening to that in the box set, with the echo of the warehouse and the psychedelic effects, it even sounds like I was in the Pyramid too.

When Father returned from Egypt that week and we heard the tales of his journey, only then did I fully realized that what I had sung that previous Easter weekend was in complete attunement with what was happening to Yahowha.

I can remember how difficult it was in that huge warehouse to hear what the other musicians were playing at the other end of the “stage” area. I can also remember it was finger numbing cold and I was shivering and blowing on my hands to feel my guitar strings at first. Octavius must have had an even harder time holding on to his sticks.

“The Operetta” was our first musical channeling from the time Yahowha went to the East, for his surprise Easter Resurrection in the Pyramid, returning transformed, and the last total musical recording he would make with the bands, so I’m really glad that at least a cassette tape survived of it and could be remastered, so well by Mike at Swordfish Records, so we all can now enjoy this recorded history of musical wisdom and magic.

After all is said and done life itself is really a great dramatic, musical dance of light, an “Operetta” of Sun Water Air Earth and YOU

Yahowha’s Consciousness.

May Peace Music and Love Prevail
